Seeing Spots!!!

My very first post was a card I made following a Diva colour challenge.....I have since figured out how to post the actually challenge so this is me being a little bit clever, then again its probably only me that thinks that!!!
Anyway, I saw this and really liked the colours that were being used so as I needed to make a card for Steve's daughters birthday coming up I wanted to make it something special.

I cased the layout from a card I saw ages ago (not overly confident about my own designs just yet!) apologies for the bad photo but really wanted to post this tonight.....I will have to take a few more shots tomorrow in natural light.

I stamped the small flower from seeing spots, cut them out and used a dimensional to make them stand out a bit, I did the same for the sentiment as laying it flat just didn't look right.

Stamps used: Seeing Spots
Sending Happy Thoughts
One of a Kind
Ink: Green Galore
Tempting Turqoise

I also did a simple insert for the inside of the card.

Hope you like it and thanks for browsing..............

Take care

Just thought I would post a quick few photo's.....work has been manic and it was a busy weekend with no time to work out what colours/card/stamps/ink I used so for now it will just have to be the pics. This is a card I made for my lovely man.....he is actually a very good fisherman, I just thought it was funny, although he has been in a couple of tight spots whilst fishing I dont think he has ever ended up like that!!

These are a couple of items I made for Steve's mum for her birthday.....just a little note paper holder and a receipe box....I really do love the Le Jardin DP!

I have seen many of these little milk cartons on other blogs and love the idea of them, I purchased a template and instructions (i'm a bit weird about instructions....I love them and have to read the instructions to anything I buy!) anyway......I had a go and was really pleased with the way it came out. I am sooooooo not a pink and purple kind of girl but trying to use more of the bold bright colours

And last but not least I thought I should really post a picture of the bundle of trouble I named my blog after...........this is Spud! She was named before she was born and I was hoping for a boy but the name had stuck by then and I would not change her for the world!
Cheers

Sorry....

Apologies for the bad quality of these photos....I will need to spend some time perfecting my photography skills!!! Anyway, this is not my usual style but it needed to be big, bold and bright and obviously aimed at a young child.....but then will a 2yr old really care??? I have used Yoyo Yellow card stock and Forever Friends paper and stamp which I watercoloured using pencils and blender pens.

This is a picture frame I bought from WH Smith and then decorated....left to right I used More Mustard and Really Rust card stock and then the image was stamped with versa mark and more mustard, the stamp set is called Happy Harmony which was sent to me by my Mum who is also a Stampin' Up Demo in Australia. Next I used Sage Shadow card run through a crimper, stamped the sentiment on some recycled card...stamp set as before was sent from Oz and is called Reason to Smile. The card in the top right hand corner is from The Chocolate Box and is Core Colour which I ran through my Cuttlebug and then sanded the embossed image to bring through the core colour. The bottom 2 frames are decorated with Laura Ashley paper, I then stamped the flower (again an aussie import although I dont know the name of this one) in mellow moss and sage shadow, cut them out and attached using foam pads to give it some dimension........I like how this turned out although a little unsure about the top left hand frame, it just doesnt seem to fit in with the rest of it.
Oh well practice makes perfect............

Camera difficulties!

Hi
Wanted to post some more pictures last night but was having a few technical issues with my camera.......or should I say I seem to have forgotten how to take a decent photo!! Every picture I took was fuzzy.....might be because I was trying to get some close ups. Anyway, I was going to post a photo of a multi frame (5 frames in one) that I decorated and also a card I have made for Steve's granddaughter who is turning 2! Hopefully I can figure out the camera thing and then post the photos tonight.........hope to see you later.

Carte Postale

Ok....getting the hang of things now, not to say I am totally clued up but getting there. Anyway, here is a card I made a little while ago, I used a sketch from I think Mojo Monday. I used Mellow Moss and Bashfull Blue cardstock, Le Jardin (retired) DP, Mellow Moss and Bashfull Blue ink and Carte Postale stamp set (one of my favorites!)
So what do you think?? Let me know........
I am finding now that I am leaning towards a distressed, vintage look to a lot of my cards although I do like to make them specifically with people in mind. I like the more natural earthy colours and find it really difficult to use the Bold Brights......I will keep trying though!

Hello everyone......well this is my first post and I am really not sure what I am doing....please bear with me and hopefully I will get the hang of it!!

I hope to post some of my cards and papercraft on my blog, learn from others and hopefully inspire those who like me have been bitten by the stamping bug.

I am now going to try and upload a picture of one of my cards...fingers crossed it will work.
